Healing thoughts across the horizon

Today in our home we will recall the moment ten years ago when our son shouted for us to come and see what was happening on the television. It was of course the minutes following the first of the Twin Towers being hit. We watched with millions in realtime as the horror unfolded – one of those moments that you will never forget and everyone remembers where they were. We stood transfixed as another plane plunged into a tower filled with life and humanity – it all felt so unreal.

Our world changed that day and the repercussions of it are still changing the world.

I grieve for the people who died on 9/11 as l grieve for those who died in the London bombings, in Iraq, in Afghanistan, in India and for all those who are still dying in so many other places around the world.

Peace and love be with you all. x

I will never forget that day! I woke up to the news. I had my alarm set to music but instead I get reports of fires at the World Trade Center caused by planes flying into them. Immediately I get up to turn on the TV and witness the horror live. Over the next few days I was in a daze, eventually having to come to terms with such an act of pure evil! I do wonder if we are truly fortified to the point where something like this will never happen again. Sadly, though, I seriously doubt it...

I don't think too many of us will ever forget what we were doing that fateful day. I was on the computer, playing a game in Pogo.com and someone in chat said turn on your television. I was horrified to see the second plane fly into the second building...I never left that tv for hours on end. As you say, it all seemed and felt so unreal. My heart aches for all the victims and their families. xoxo

Thanks sweet friend for visiting with me...We've been away for a week so I'm behind on computer time.

Yes, we did plan to wear white shirts and khaki shorts or pants...we've also done white shirts and jeans...this summer we did red, white and blue...

9/11 was such a horrific day for everyone...so much pain and suffering. I pray it never happens again in any country.

Your soup sounds delicious in the other posting...

Blessings...Betty
