Excerpt below from my diary 26 April 2000.
"G. asked me to marry him on board the Balmoral today- in the rain- splitting waves and seagulls soaring. I love him so much! Oh.. and l said, yes, yes, yes!!! We went on to have a browse around Rothesay with the children. We have never held hands so tightly - a day to remember forever."
By accident l came across this last night and smiled when l saw the date! I could remember it all so clearly - the memory of clinging to each other under a big umbrella with the sound of the flags flapping from the masts above. It didn’t matter that the weather was wild or that we were getting soaked- we were just so in love and everything around us seemed wonderful.
