Weekend fun

We took our son and wee granddaughter to the beach on Saturday- the weather wasn't great, a bit cold and windy but we were all well layered up and it was good to spend some time out in the open. Our son enjoyed climbing trees and our wee lass went home delighted with a pocket full of shells and coloured rocks to show her mummy.
Spending time at the beach is always so refreshing for me - l have always lived close to the water and can't imagine anything else. It holds a familiar comfort and seems to wash away all my worries.
The sound and smell, the ebb and flow, inhale and exhale...
returning to centre.

Oh wow..I bet she will always remember that moment in your arms..with sea shells in her pocket and the smell of the sea..beautiful! I miss the seaside; the place we live now is so far from the sea!

Hello Dear Horizon.....
Welcome back, I was so pleased to see the comment you left. I’ve thought about you often and Betty and I have wondered what you were up to.

Yes, I too enjoy the seashore and feel very fortunate that we live so close to it. We went down on Saturday and watched at a distance.... it was quite exciting to see the waves as they crashed so dramatically on the shore. We too have had the west coast battered by gales over the weekend, however, like you, I was able to hang out washing on the line on a calm, sunny day last week... first time this winter... what joy! can you tell I’m pleased by simple things? I’ve actually made a little start in the garden, clearing winter debris. ....and, I saw lambs in the field last week and a daffodil in flower. Oh! the promise of Spring!!!!! Marion - Wales UK.

It's so nice to see the updated photos of your 'clan'. Your little granddaughter is a beauty. Aren't grandbabies the absolute delight of life? I don't know what I'd do without my grandboys.
