"Scotland, above all, is a land of romance and of poetry"
Sir David Wilkie
For Valentine's Day l bought my husband, G. the more practical gift - hmm- a toaster, some sweeties and a film.
G. bought me some flowers, chocolates and rose perfumed bath salts.
Begs the question- who is the more romantic? So much for the quote above-lol.
G. is an English Gentleman :)
Does that make me the cannie and wyse dealing wee Scot?
;) Oh crumbs.
'S' made me a lovely card at nursery, a Jelly baby cake and beautiful noodle necklace ~ like father like son you'd think but he did eat the cake! ;)

I think the most romantic gift is giving something you know they will love and enjoy. You obviously know what will make "G" smile!

Being a big fan of toast, I think that a toaster is a lovely, romantic gift.
Oh, the flowers are so beautiful in pinks and whites. I wouldn't have thought of Queen Anne's Lace in a florist's bouquet. It's lovely! Yes, you have a wonderful, romantic husband, and a sweet, thoughtful little boy, but the toaster, as Lorraine and Susie says, is a great gift too. And movies and sweets are always welcome I should think. Chariots of Fire is a wonderful movie.
Thanks for sharing that lovely bouquet. It brightened my day! xoxox
P.S. Our youngest daughter, Kathy, wrapped up her toaster (currently not needed by her) and gave it to us for Christmas (among other gifts) because ours needed replacing. We thought that was a sweet and thoughtful gesture :)
MMM...Toasted English muffins..Sounds like a lovely Valentine's day horizon. :)
Doesn't matter what you two gave, both are romantic to me..it's the thought that counts! I would love to but my hubby a mobile phone..but they cost a bomb. For the moment, a kiss is still acceptable!
Just say that you're a practical romantic! lol The flowers you received are just gorgeous and I'm sure G is enjoying his new toaster too:-) Hugs xox
