Monday morning blues

Our old car goes in for it's MOT this afternoon ~ help. I am a bit worried about the suspension and fear the cost. These days doing anything to it should be a consideration as the car itself is not worth much.
The house needs a good clean and laundry attended to ~ l spent the weekend doing Daniel's. He came home with a huge black bag full, bed sheets and all!
I'll start with another cup of tea.

UPDATE:
The sun is out and we passed the MOT- yeahhhhh!!!! I just had the call two mins. ago. Thank you to my friends for the kind comments. Wow...what a smashing day this has turned out to be. :) Ok, now I need another cup of tea ~ LOL.

Ha ha - the tea sounds like a good idea. You have my sympathy over the car, we've just been through the same thing with our old car. I wouldn't mind if the car was like a death trap or something but they are so picky these days, like for instance there was a bit of a split in the bumper and that was one of the things it failed on. another thing it failed on was a black mark on the front number plate, you could still see the number well enough though. I expect that's because the camera's can't read marks. God forbid they might miss a chance to fine someone for something.

Yikes, yup it's always a worry when you have to bring your car in...never know what they're going to find and what it will end up costing you!! Hope your day turns out to be a good one nonetheless! Hugs xoxo

Hopefully your car will pass with no problems.
I was going to ask you about your son bring laundry home! My son used to do that too!
(always loved seeing both him and his laundry!)
((hugs))

A cup of tea is always the most lovely idea! I love the polar bear--hilarious. I do hope our north is not on a slippery slope to extinction of such wonderful creatures! Glad the car passed.

I have a very dear friend from Perth in Australia I met in a chat several years ago...we consider each other long lost twins, ha! Anyway, we have what we call the "99/1" rule we try to live by. 99% of what we worry and fret about never comes to pass -- (worries about your MOT!) -- and the 1% that DOES, we face it, deal with it, and move on. A good rule to live by, I'm thinkin'...and I try really, REALLY hard to remember it when I'm going thru a tough time, ha! ;-) I'm glad today worked out to be a good one for you after all. And the extra cuppa sounds like a mighty fine way to celebrate it! ((HUG))

Just read your comment about your aching back, too...I injured mine when I fell down most of a stair case several years ago. I looked up some information for you on the pad I'm using and I'm including this link for you. Maybe you have something similar in the UK, or can order it with foreign post?? Horizon, each morning I"m waking up feeling better and better! It's a true blessing...I can't believe something so thin can make such a huge difference. Here's the link, and the one I have is in the 4th row down, center of the line...it's the ThermaRest RidgeRest:

That sounds good...a cup of tea. You'll have to teach Daniel how to do laundry and I'm glad that your car passed the MOT.

Cute polar bear...I'm amazed at all you bloggers and how you can put up slideshows & videos.

Boys coming home from college are apparently the same the world over. Andrew used to bring a big bag of wash too :) Yes, it's always so lovely to see them, and sad to see them go....
So glad the car passed. Another load off your mind :)
