Slug Fest & Slime Time

My brother and his wife came around this evening and we had a nice time together, that is until my brother went outside and got a slug from the garden! He wanted to ‘share’ with Sam ~ I don’t think Sam was too excited about it. Here are some pictures from that ‘sharing’. LoL
My brother and daughter had a good old time trying to get the slug slime from their arms. Slug slime is how slugs find each other- watch out guys; tonight you may have a few visitors.
Here is a tip to get the slime off: Pour a little cheap white vinegar on your hands and wash it off with lukewarm water. Really cuts that slime! Repeat if needed.
Bet they wish they had known that at the time!
Chopsticks: For handpicking use chopsticks to make it less disgusting. Lol can just see my neighbours observing me in the garden doing the Chinese Mambo!
Anyway Slugs/Snails and me do not get along- they smile at me as l pass while munching on my plants!

Ewww, snails and slugs are nasty pests!
Have you ever seen the huge banana slugs? We used to camp at a place that had them everywhere. Oh my goodness, they were just huge!
Google banana slug and you can see what I mean!!!

Hi Horizon ~~ You have some nice looking kids. How many do you have. I have seen
3 including your son in a kilt. I have 4
myself with the younger three being
adopted. I love them all equally, ages 44 to 52. I think you will enjoy that pasta salad. I put more chicken so it is a complete meal. Take care, Merle.

Oh yuk! Your pics are lots of fun, but slugs....ug! That's a big one! The slugs are having a slugfest here with all the rain. I've been chopping at them with my trowel, distgusting creatures. I had that very problem recently...trying to get slug slime of my fingers..accidently touched one. Ewwwww, is right! That stuff stains. Thanks for the vinegar tip :) Sam is a cutie. Lovely pics of your daughter too.

I grew up on the edges of the Olympic Rain Forest in Washington State here in the US and we used to have the biggest, ickiest slimy slugs...sort of a putrid brownish-gray...that would come out after just about any rain. Some would be upwards of 6" to 8" long! We kids would take out salt shakers and sprinkle them to watch them shrivel up and die. What was really awful is they'd come out at night, too, and if we'd sleep out in the summer time we'd wake up to silvery slug trails all over our sleeping bags. Thank goodness I don't remember any of us ever waking up to find them on US! EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
